- Celebrating Success
One of our fundamental aims is to educate the whole child and to help them be happy, experiencing success and a sense of satisfaction in work well done, thereby increasing their self respect and willingness to persevere.
Endeavours are awarded each lesson to the pupil who has worked the hardest and shown determination and resilience throughout.
Once a week our school gathers together for Assembly. This is the time when we celebrate the achievements our pupils have made during the previous week.
Star of the Week
Every week, one pupil from each class is selected to be 'Star of the Week'. This pupil will have gained the most endeavours during the week. This child receives a certificate in assembly.
Teacher Award
Every week one child is selected by their form tutor to receive the ‘Teacher Award’. This is awarded to pupils who have been working hard towards their independent learning goals or to those who have demonstrated one, or all, of the school values of trust, respect and responsibility
The Teacher Award can also be handed out by a subject teacher or LSA for having a consistently good attitude towards their learning or making exceptional progress towards their individual learning goals or in a subject area.
House Points
Pupils are awarded House Points for good work, good behaviour, effort, achievement or by showing good manners to adults and classmates. Every week year 11 ambassadors collect these House Points and
The winning 'House' is celebrated in assembly.
At the end of each half term all the House Points are added together and the winning house receives a reward.
