ICT Lessons at Philip Southcote

At Philip Southcote school, it is our goal to provide you with fun, engaging and interactive ICT lessons which make you feel confident about your learning, giving you the real world, relevant tools and skills you will need for your future. The teaching of ICT aims to give you the independence and knowledge you require to succeed in whatever you choose to do in the future.

Online Safety

  • Take It Down - This service provides a one stop way to help remove nude, partially nude, or sexually explicit photos and videos that were taken of you before you turned 18.
  • CEOP Education - The National Crime Agency's CEOP Education team aim to help protect children and young people from online child sexual abuse
  • CEOP make a report CEOP is a special team that helps keep young people safe on the internet. If someone is saying things that make you feel uncomfortable, or asking you to do things that don’t feel right, you can make a report to CEOP
  • Childline - Childline is a place where kids and teenagers can talk to someone if they feel worried, sad, or scared. You can call them on the phone, chat online, or send a message, and a friendly person will listen and try to help
  • Childnet - Childnet is a group that helps young people stay safe while they’re using the internet. They show you how to have fun online but also how to be careful so they don’t get into trouble.
  • BBC OwnIt - BBC Own It is a place where young people can learn how to have fun and stay safe online. They have lots of videos, games, and tips about using the internet.
  • Kooth - Kooth is a safe online community where kids and teens can get support for their mental health. If you’re feeling down, anxious, stressed about school, or just need someone to talk to, Kooth is there to help.
  • Shout - Shout is a place you can text when you need someone to talk to and help you feel better. It’s especially for times when you feel really upset, stressed, or worried and don’t know who to talk to
  • UK Safer Internet Centre for age 3-11 - The Safer Internet website has fun resources for kids ages 3 to 11 that teach them how to stay safe online, including games and videos.
  • UK Safer Internet Centre for age 11-19 The Safer Internet website has fun resources for young people ages 3 to 11 that teach them how to stay safe online, including games and videos.
